Christmas in July - Are You Ready for Q4?

Winter Is Coming...

As much as I had to admit it, summer is when product-based businesses need to start thinking about their year-end sales. With Halloween just 3 1/2 months away 🦹, time is ticking.

While it's tempting to delay preparations for year-end sales until the fall, it's important to remember that early planning can lead to better results.

Here are things you should be doing now to set yourself up for success during the holiday shopping season:

  • Boost your local SEO. 76% of people who conduct a local search on their phone visit a physical store within 24 hours. Make sure your shop is showing up at its best for local searches.
  • Update your website's SEO. Perform an SEO audit to update broken links, address performance or usability issues, and optimize your website with keyword-rich title tags, meta descriptions, headings, alt tags, etc.
  • Add an automated abandoned cart workflow to your online shop. Most e-commerce sites have a template that you can customize.
  • Walk through your customer journey. Test your customer journey. Make sure new visitors have a clear and seamless pathway to purchase your products.
  • Consider a website retargeting campaign. Remember when you were looking for a new [insert product here], and you started seeing ads for that product everywhere? This could be from a website retargeting campaign, where the retailer serves ads encouraging you to return and purchase the product.

Did You Know?

To leverage website retargeting, your website must meet a threshold of visitors. Depending on your traffic volume, it may take a few weeks or months to reach that threshold.

If you're considering this tactic, set it up now to make sure you collect enough data by November.

I'm on my patio, soaking up the sunshine as I write this. Believe me, I don't want to talk about winter either.

However, if the holiday season is essential for your annual revenue, you must allocate enough time to do it correctly.

And, of course, if you need help - I've got you! Hit reply (this goes to my inbox!) and we'll get your marketing plan in motion.
